‘The View’ Host Ana Navarro Calls Out Those Mocking Lindsey Graham’s Death
South Carolina U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham died on July 11 at the age of 71. Following his death, the controversial figure received kind words from some, but many took to social media to express their disdain for him. Now, “The View” co-host Ana Navarro is calling out those whom she feels are mocking him over political disagreements.
Ana Navarro Defends ‘Friend’ Lindsey Graham

“The View” ladies shared their thoughts on the show’s July 13 broadcast about the passing of Graham, who appeared on the ABC daytime talker multiple times, most recently in 2020. While sharing her feelings, Navarro said, “I knew him very well.” After that, she called him “a friend of mine for many years.”
Regarding their connection, Navarro explained, “Frankly, through John McCain, who was his best friend and his mentor for many years. After that, the political pundit ripped into social media users who have made light of Graham’s death.
According to her, “I saw a lot of posts online this week kind of celebrating his death and rejoicing.” From there, she acknowledged that, in her opinion, Donald Trump has mocked people’s deaths online, citing McCain, Rob Reiner, etc.
Ana Says Mocking Lindsey Graham’s Death Is ‘Inhumane’

The “View” co-host continued describing how it made her feel to see social media posts mocking the death of her friend. She proclaimed that despite Trump doing it, “It’s inhumane and it’s really lacking empathy.” After that, she pointed out, “And the dead person’s dead, and can’t hear you and can’t read your posts.”
Navarro then said, “But his family, his sister, who he adopted when she was 13 because both their parents died, is alive and is hearing it.” She then stated that “For humanity, for having a normal decency toward the family of the dead, that just has to stop.”
The 54-year-old added, “The fact that Donald Trump is indecent doesn’t mean the rest of us have to do it.”
Comedian Margaret Cho Is Accused Of Mocking The Deceased U.S. Senator

Upon learning of Graham’s death, comedian and actress Margaret Cho took to TikTok to offer her thoughts. She captioned the post, “By Gurl.” Additionally, Cho used a text overlay that read, “Bye Lindsey.” The video itself is a 22-second clip in which she not-so-subtly alludes to the rumors of Graham having remained closeted throughout his life about his sexuality.
Cho said in the clip, “Bye Lindsie, bye Lindsie Graham.” From there, she said, “From the closet to the coffin. Real seamless.” She then mentioned the rumor, which has now been debunked, that Mitch McConnell had also died, saying, “It does happen in 3s.”
Following her post, Cho received a mix of backlash and praise. Some people questioned, “Who are you,” implying that she wasn’t famous enough for her opinion to matter. However, others seemingly agreed with her lackadaisical take about Graham’s passing.
Hunter Biden Also Posted About The Late Senator

Hunter Biden is another public figure who reacted to Graham’s passing. However, he did so by remembering the good about the former U.S. Senator, saying on X, “When I heard about Senator Graham’s death last night, the first thing I thought about was not all the things he said and did in service of Donald Trump. I thought of the time before Donald Trump when he was a brother to Senator John McCain.”
After that, he recalled, “a time that senators” from the left and the right could “fight about politics and still be friends.” Biden added, “A time when a conservative Republican from South Carolina could say of my father: ‘If you can’t admire Joe Biden as a person, you’ve got a problem. He’s the nicest person I’ve ever met in politics. As good a man as God ever created.'”
He then said, “I will choose to remember the time before Trump. Because I believe in an America after Trump.”
Lindsey Graham’s Preliminary Cause Of Death Has Been Revealed

According to PBS, the preliminary report reveals that Graham passed away as a result of an aortic dissection, which is essentially a tear in the inner wall of the aorta. This is said to have led to a hardening of the U.S. Senator’s arteries.
However, it’s important to note that the official cause of death will be revealed once a full toxicology report has been completed, as well as microscopic testing.
