Kate Middleton is reportedly no longer making efforts to persuade her husband, Prince William, to meet his estranged brother, Prince Harry.

The Duke of Sussex touched down on British soil on Monday evening for a week-long series of charity events and personal engagements, but has drawn controversy over the whole trip.

Royal insiders have since claimed that Prince Harry is trying to get in touch with the future king, with William being unwilling to speak with his younger brother.

Kate Middleton Doesn’t Want Prince William Near The ‘Circus’ That Comes With His Younger Brother

Contrary to recently circulated reports suggesting Kate Middleton was “trying to convince” Prince William to meet up with his younger brother Harry while he’s in the country, multiple royal experts have claimed that isn’t the case.

For years, both brothers have not been on speaking terms, and it doesn’t appear things will change any time soon, as the Princess of Wales is understood to be prioritizing her family’s peace of mind and doesn’t want her husband to get sucked back into Harry’s “circus.”

“Kate is no longer in the business of trying to reunite the brothers,” Christopher Andersen, author of “Kate!,” told Fox News Digital. “It really is a year of magical thinking when people seriously suggest that the Princess of Wales has the emotional bandwidth to cope with the Sussexes.”

British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard also told the news outlet that she doesn’t believe Kate is pushing for a meeting between the two brothers as claimed by her “sources.”

Chard added, “She isn’t pushing for a meeting. She is, however, the one royal who could soften things emotionally, hence the reason Princess Catherine, ‘the peacemaker,’ keeps rearing her head.”

Kate’s insistence on keeping her family away from the Sussexes just goes to show how strained her relationship with the US-based royals has become. She and Harry used to share a cordial relationship, with the Duke of Sussex even calling her “the sister I never had and always wanted.”

In his 2023 blockbuster memoir “Spare,” he wrote on how he loved to make her laugh, saying whenever he thought she was the one that was going to take William away from him, he consoled himself “with thoughts of all our future laughing fits together, and I told myself how great everything would be when I had a serious girlfriend who could laugh along with us.”

Harry’s hopes didn’t pan out as he envisioned, as two years after he married his wife, Meghan Markle, they quit being working royals and relocated abroad with her.

Since their shock move, which was infamously branded “Megxit,” the couple has made several damaging accusations against the royal family, including Kate, dragging them into a racism scandal.

Kate Middleton’s Husband And Family Are Her ‘Focus And Priority Now’

After the Oprah interview and Harry’s “Spare” memoir, Kate is now said to have closed her chapter with the Sussexes for good and shifted focus to her family and health.

“Despite everything said in the Oprah interview, Kate still acted as a peacemaker at Prince Philip’s funeral soon afterward, discreetly helping William and Harry fall into step to talk as they walked back to Windsor Castle after the service. Things have sadly deteriorated since then,” HELLO! ‘s Royal Editor Emily Nash said.

Nash added that Harry and Meghan’s Netflix docuseries and his memoir have “certainly damaged the relationship further – and of course Kate has had her own very serious health challenge to overcome”.

“Those who know her well say she avoids drama,” the expert noted. “Her own husband and family are her focus and priority now.”

Prince Harry Draws Controversy Over UK Trip

It comes after Harry returned to his home country to attend some charity events and also flag off the official one-year countdown for the 2027 Invictus Games.

His trip still managed to court controversy over living arrangements in a royal lodge offered to him by Buckingham Palace. While his camp claimed the offer was eventually “withdrawn,” palace sources insist he didn’t respond on time, and by the time he did, arrangements couldn’t be made anymore, as his arrival was already close.

It was alleged that he would be going to the country with Meghan and their kids, but after his request for police protection was denied, he decided against taking them along.

His camp has claimed that the offer to stay at a royal lodge was “withdrawn,” but Palace sources insist he didn’t confirm his stay early enough for preparations to be made.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Had A Meeting With King Charles And Queen Camilla

Doubts were also cast over a potential reunion with his father, King Charles, after he decided against going to the UK with his children, Archie and Lilibet.

The ruling monarch has not seen his grandchildren since 2022, when they were last in the country for Queen Elizabeth’s platinum jubilee.

He was reportedly keen on seeing the young prince and princess, especially as he continues to recover from an undisclosed form of cancer, but drama surrounding security issues threatened a potential reunion.

However, Buckingham Palace announced on Friday, July 10, that King Charles and Queen Camilla welcomed Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their two children for an afternoon visit.

Per People Magazine, the family gathering was held at Highgrove House, which serves as the king’s personal country estate in Gloucestershire, England.
